I am very fortunate to live on the shores of Loch Ewe in the north west of the Scottish Highlands.  This is a magnificent place; a land with spectacular mountains and coast-line, and sometimes dramatic weather which only serves to emphasise its raw beauty.

The privilege of living here is best described in the last lines of a poem written by local artist, poet and friend, Bryan Islip

"And when you see these folk this land this sea,
you’ll know to live here’s more than just to be."
